Clarion Transcribe — Support

A voice recorder built so it never stops by accident, with on-device transcripts.

How do I stop a recording?

Press the Stop button three times within two seconds. This is intentional — it prevents a stray touch from ending your recording. The dots above the button show how many presses remain.

Does it keep recording with the screen off?

Yes. You can lock your phone or switch apps and recording continues.

What happens if my Bluetooth microphone disconnects?

The recording does not stop. iOS switches to the next available microphone and Clarion Transcribe keeps writing to the same file. You may hear a sub-second gap at the moment of the switch; the recording survives.

How do transcripts work?

Transcription runs entirely on your device. The first time you use the Whisper engine it downloads the chosen model once (over Wi-Fi), then works offline. You can also choose Apple's on-device speech recognition in Settings, which needs no download. Nothing you record is ever uploaded.

Which format and quality should I use?

AAC at High quality is a good default for voice. Choose WAV or Apple Lossless if you need uncompressed audio; expect much larger files.
